Blue Marlin Fish House, Oleta River State Park’s historic restaurant, is now open to the public after more than a year of being closed due to COVID-19!
Blue Marlin Fish House Restaurant & Adventure had been closed for more than a year due to COVID-19, but Miamians may be glad to learn that this popular waterfront spot at Oleta River State Park has finally reopened to the public!
First opened by the Diefenbach back in the 1930s as the Blue Marlin Smoke House, the restaurant used to be entirely dedicated to smoking fish and acting as a trading post for local fishermen in which to barter their latest catch. Nowadays it’s known as a popular waterfront destination in which to enjoy some excellent seafood, rent kayaks and paddleboards and enjoy the Oleta flora and fauna.
Now, Blue Marlin is back bigger and better than ever with a spanking new menu, new weekly specials, special events, live music and more!
If you’re stopping by for a bit, some options to try on Blue Fish’s new menu include smoked fish dip, Bahamian conch fritters, Mahi fingers, chicken wings, Mahi-Mahi, spicy chicken and pulled pork sandwiches, classic cheeseburgers as well as a variety of breakfast dishes available daily until 11 a.m.
New weekly specials include Monday Madness with 50% off all rentals, Taco Tuesdays with $3 off all tacos, Hump Day Nachos with $6 nachos available all day long, Almost the Weekend Burgers on Thursdays with $3 off all burgers, Frozen Drink Fridays with $5 frozen drinks available all day, Sangria Saturdays with $5 sangrías and Sunday Morning Mimosas when you can get $5 mimosas available until 2 p.m.
They also have daily happy hour Monday through Friday starting at 3 p.m. until close with $2 off drafts and $2 off wines by the glass
Blue Marlin Fish House Restaurant & Adventure is now open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Friday to Sunday.
