Some of Miami’s hottest chefs, restaurants and foodies are coming together for an exclusive event set to take place this Black Business Month! The third-annual Black Pepper Food & Wine Festival, sponsored by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, is returning on Saturday, August 26th.
The all-day outdoor event is set to showcase more than 30 of South Florida’s Black-owned restaurants and food trucks with the many cuisine flavors and entertainment of the African diaspora through small bites, wine tastings and live-cooking demos.
“We are excited to bring Black Pepper Food Fest back to Historic Overtown,” says Alexis Brown, co-founder of the festival. “This year promises to be another unforgettable experience of delectable cuisine, exquisite wines, captivating entertainment, and the celebration of diverse cultures.”
The festival dates back to 2019, becoming the first of its kind in South Florida that was solely created to uplift and celebrate Black-owned eateries across the region. You can indulge in cuisines representative of the diversity and richness of the African diaspora, and rest assured that there will be something for everybody (including vegan options).
Here are some of the vendors you can expect to see at this year’s Black Pepper Food & Wine:
- Lil Greenhouse Grill

… and so much more!
