Black Friday, the biggest shopping moment of the year, is inching closer and it’s likely that big corporations will surpass their goals without the help of our Black Friday shopping. It was established in 2015 by artists Terrance and Johanne Wilson. While the name ‘COOL’ is fitting, it’s actually an acronym for ‘Creative Out Of Love.’

3. Libreri Mapou Book Store

Haitian playwright and activist Jan Mapou founded the literary bookstore in 1990 and it has been a neighborhood staple ever since.
