We can’t believe it hasn’t happened sooner, but there’s another look-alike contest in Miami to look forward to — this time for Bad Bunny! Yes, you read that right.
If you know someone who bares resemblance to Benito or simply loves Benito and want to see some people channeling his good looks, here’s what you need to know: The official Bad Bunny look-alike contest is happening on Sunday, April 27 at Roberto Clemente Park.
It will be hosted by O, Miami, Bookleggers Library and La Mesa Boricua for an event titled, “Poetry, Paperbacks & Piraguas.” A celebration of Puerto Rican culture, attendees (or “perreo poets”) can expect to find free books from Bookleggers Library, poetry writing, complimentary piraguas, live traditional music and hands-on papermaking.
The full event will take place from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, while the Benito look-alike contest runs from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. To enter, you simply have to bring the swag, the moves and “your best yo hago lo que me da la gana look”. You also may be asked to drop a line or two from the Conejo Malo’s most iconic poetic bars.
Sign-ups must be done on site by 1:30 p.m. and winners will be chosen by a panel of the city’s best, including Power 96’s Ivy Unleashed, as well as the crowd. The prize? A one year membership to El Car Wash valued at $500 and other freebies!
The event is free and open to the public, with RSVP encouraged. Visit the O, Miami website for all the details. Good luck to all the Bad Bunny doppelgängers out there!
