Living in Miami, there’s no escaping the Grand Theft Auto VI craze. From a “Welcome to Vice City” sign on top of the Miami Heat arena to themed street art all over Wynwood, the game whose release date once felt like a distant dream is right around the corner.
To add to the excitement, Rockstar Games’ fictional fast-food burger chain, Burger Shot, is coming to the city for a limited time. That’s right, you can now have a cheeseburger straight out of Vice City!
In an announcement posted to social media, Rockstar is teaming up with Skinny Louie to transform all of its Florida stores into Burger Shots. The pop-ups will begin in November and run through the end of the year with walk-in and delivery options.
This includes the Skinny Louie inside Kaseya Center, where the partnership has already kicked off. Located in sections 105, 120, 308 and 324, staff could be seen wearing GTA VI-branded uniforms to match.
The arena is also home to a real-life Cluckin’ Bell food stand, which serves fried chicken combos, complete with a mural of the game’s Macca the Gator mascot. It is not yet known if any Cluckin’ Bell locations will be available statewide like the Burger Shots.
The broader Miami takeover leading up to GTA VI’s release is just getting started, with the Miami Heat scheduled for a themed November 18 game against the Milwaukee Bucks with never-before-worn jerseys and a special court design.
Additionally, a Goodyear blimp decked out in Vice City livery has been flying over Miami to build anticipation. Down on street level, digital billboards throughout Wynwood have been spotted with advertisements for fictional, in-game spots, such as Pfister, Zenith Gym and Kowalski.
GTA VI releases on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
