Fall is right around the corner, which means it’s almost time for warm cinnamon rolls, fresh strawberry milkshakes and making memories with a visit to Homestead’s beloved seasonal tradition, Knaus Berry Farm!
The local staple has set its opening date for Tuesday, October 13, making the announcement on Instagram earlier today.
“We are starting the countdown,” the post reads. “We are open Tuesday to Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.”
With the 70-year institution operating under new ownership and having moved to a larger site at 16790 SW 177th Ave, the post adds that they now accept credit cards, a shift from the previous cash-only model. At the new property, visitors can expect the exact same recipes, techniques and bakery equipment, with an additional oven to speed up production.
The original 1980s shake stand and menu boards were relocated to the current site on Krome Ave, and changes include an expanded parking lot, Sunday hours, guest bathrooms and dedicated shade structures for those waiting in line.
